8th grade is working on equations and inequalities.
Students in 8th grade should learn and use the properties that have previously been taught in algebra. We will be testing on the properties and using the properties through out the year.
One website we have been using in class is www.learner.org. If your child hasn't used this website yet, they will soon. It is very informative and shows many ways to model different concepts for our common core standards. This website gives students access to a different type of reading material than they may be used to, which is always a plus even if it is difficult.
